Important information & disclaimer
Last updated: 2026-08-06
Dialysis Travel Japan acts as a communication coordinator between patients and dialysis clinics. We do not provide medical advice; medical decisions are made by your physician and the treating facility.
Your medical documents
We check with the accepting clinic and tell you exactly which forms, medical records and test results it requires.
Preparing, completing and obtaining those documents is the patient's responsibility. Please work with your attending physician or current dialysis provider, and make sure all medical information is accurate.
Translation
Communication through our platform is translated automatically between English/French and Japanese (machine translation). It is provided for convenience and may contain errors; the original message remains authoritative.
We do not provide certified human translation of medical documents.
Payments
Payment for an arranged dialysis session is completed through this site.
Only additional items provided locally — for example additional medication prescribed during your visit — are paid separately to the clinic.
Clinic operating days
Many dialysis clinics in Japan are closed on Sundays. Please take this into account when planning your travel itinerary and preferred dialysis dates.
Travel insurance
Travel insurance may not cover dialysis treatment or other expenses related to pre-existing medical conditions. Patients are responsible for confirming the details of their insurance coverage directly with their insurance provider.
Advance booking
Please submit your booking inquiry at least one month before your preferred dialysis date.
Many clinics require approximately two weeks to review all required medical documents and confirm whether they can accept the patient. The appointment cannot be confirmed until the clinic has received and reviewed all required information.
Submitting an inquiry one month in advance does not guarantee availability or acceptance. Acceptance is subject to the clinic's schedule, requirements, and final medical assessment.
Patient profile form
Completing the patient profile form provided on your account is not mandatory unless otherwise stated.
However, preparing this information in advance may make it easier to complete the clinic's official patient information form after it is provided. Please ensure that all medical information is accurate and, where appropriate, confirmed with your attending physician or dialysis provider.
